
15 Jan Judging panel for 2020 takes shape
Several additions to the independent judging panel of the next Broker Innovation Awards have been confirmed.
Steve White, Louise Day, Ed Gaze and Kevin Hancock have joined the independent judging panel, which will convene shortly after the entry deadline on 5 June to decide this year’s winners.
Each judge was chosen for their years of experience and expertise, as well as their positions at insurance and innovation organisations such as the British Insurance Brokers’ Association, the International Underwriting Association, Lloyd’s Lab and the Society of Insurance Broking.
More members of the independent judging panel will be confirmed soon.
Meet the judges
Chief executive
British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA)
Steve was appointed as BIBA’s chief executive in May 2013 and leads from the front, passionately promoting, assisting and understanding insurance brokers and their issues.
Director of operations
International Underwriting Association (IUA)
Louise is director of operations at the IUA and has over 20 years’ experience delivering change management projects at a senior level across the London market and wider financial services sector.
Senior manager
Lloyd’s Lab
Ed runs the Lloyd’s Lab insurtech programme, which is running its fourth cohort in Spring 2020.
Chair
Society of Insurance Broking (SIB)
Kevin is the inaugural chair of the SIB, which was formed in late 2018 to improve consumer confidence and trust in the profession.
